Cities, Energy and Economics, Food, Materiality and Creative Citizens. These are the 5 themes that organize the SUSTAINABLE FUTURES exhibit at the London Design Museum running March 31 -September 5.
Again it is great to have a destination. This time I had the experience of walking over the Tower Bridge.
into a narrow lane that led me directly to the Design Museum, right on the Thames.
And into the display on Sustainable Futures…
From the Web Site of the Design Museum:
From the world’s first carbon neutral city to a refrigerator which doubles as an aquarium, this exhibition explores a range of products, concepts and projects that address issues of sustainability in their design. Through prototypes, samples, products and film, you can find out more about your impact on the world and how to change it.
Presented around five themes: Cities, Energy and Economics, Food, Materiality and Creative Citizens, this overview shows the changing role of the designer and reveals how design can make a difference.
Like the concept of the creative citizen — everybody is actually a design thinker.
And also liked the Puma idea of bags instead of boxes…
